Ace- I'm very glad you enjoyed my review! I think this film gets a lot of undeserved criticism. Even on it's most basic level, it's a hell of a lot of fun, but I really do think it's brilliant.

hey bro, i just personally wanted to thank you for writing this article. You're so "on the money" in respects to your statement regarding the actual meaning behind Danny's and Jack's conversation during the last scene of the film. In fact, I too am one of those individuals who'd looked up to Arnold as an imaginative, substitute father figure as a child, in that my own actual father was never around(I never knew until I'd became of age). Not only had it been Arnold - but other actors too such as, Jean Claude, Stallone, along with a few others, however i'd say that Arnold was most prevalent at the time because he was very popular during this period of his career.

And another thing, I undoubtedly believe that the actual premise of the film is based on that. It had a strong, underlying message. I thank you for being one of the very few to have noticed this and respect its integrity.

I'm happy to see someone go into their thoughts on this scene. Bladerunner is by far my favorite movie, and no matter how many times I see it this scene always makes the hair on my neck stand up. Totally agree that Batty's character arc is the driving force in the movie - it's an amazing scene and a brilliant performance by Hauer.
